Food You Can Feel Good About
We responsibly work with our environment so we can feed the world, better, for generations to come.
We See Ourselves as Stewards of the Environment
Sustainability is one of our core beliefs, and we reflect it in everything we do. From choosing the right partners, to responsibly using our precious farmlands, to the facilities we package and ship our Little Potatoes from, we take great care to leave the earth better than we found it so our farmers can continue to grow for generations to come.
Best Practices on the Farm
Our farmers incorporate regional best-management practices for soil erosion control and water management, such as cover crop, rotation practices, direct seeding into beds, and soil moisture and monitoring systems. All of these keep the soil replenished with nutrients and limit pests.
Sustainable Partnerships
We were the first fresh potato company to join the Potato Sustainability Alliance (PSA) and are an active member. The PSA works in key areas to improve the economic, environmental, and social aspects of potato production in the U.S. and Canada.
Resource Management
We ensure we only use what we need to grow quality Little Potatoes. Our specialized equipment in the field optimizes our irrigation, and our facilities are designed to recycle all our water and reduce waste.
Sustainable Operations
We work closely with our farmers to refine and optimize our little potato varieties so that they use less land and water. Each farm is run by a family, and they want to ensure the health and longevity of their land.

Our Commitment
On the Farms
Our agronomists work closely with our farmer partners to create field- and variety-specific plans to utilize nutrients and water and manage pest and diseases according to industry best management practices. By 2025, 100% of our little potato acres will be Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Certified, meaning we prioritize non-chemical and reduced-risk options for pest control. This involves crop rotation, isolating any areas that need pest control, and only using treatments when necessary.
In Partnerships
As an active member of the Potato Sustainability Alliance we work together with farmers, potato processors, fresh potato companies, supply chain partners, non-profit organizations, and advisors in key areas including greenhouse gas emissions, water, and soil health. Alongside our farmer partners, we continue to participate in the PSA Farm Sustainability Survey, serve on the Board, and actively participate in program development.Learn More About the Potato Sustainability Alliance
At Headquarters
Our new plant and office in Edmonton is being built with 200,000 square feet of solar panels, generating over a gigawatt of power per year, and we reduce water consumption by recycling and cleaning water on-site.
Responsible Sourcing
We’re committed to high standards of corporate responsibility in all aspects of our operations. We respect the value of legislation including the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act and take our compliance under this legislation seriously.
